What a perfect way to honour this pride and memories of our beautiful country by wearing the cute wee Kiwi Charm on your bracelet.

GCH19/PCH19– KANGAROO CHARM
The kangaroo is a marsupial with large, powerful hind legs, large feet adapted for leaping, a long muscular tail for balance, and a small head. These animals native to Australia, are the unofficial symbol for the country. Our beautiful piece of jewellery may be worn with pride by both Australians and those who have visited this beautiful country and seen this majestic animal for themselves.

The Boomerang was originally used as a hunting tool by the Aboriginals – it is now however considered an Australian Icon. Teardrop crystals symbolize the end of tears and beginning of joy and happiness.
To the native people of New Zealand, The Maori a teardrop is called a Roimata, The Roimata is often called the comfort stone as traditionally the Roimata was given as a token of sympathy during times of sadness, and as a way to acknowledge someone’s loss and offer reassurance that they are not alone in their grief. Many people use the symbol of Roimata to convey reassurance and it is a powerful healing symbol also.
Today, Roimata can be a way to acknowledge that life can be tough and when people we love experience difficult times and struggles, we can let them know that they are cared for. Roimata allows us to show that although we cannot walk the path for someone, we care and we can walk alongside them through their struggles. When we face adversity and seek to remind ourselves that the world and universe is perfect, despite (and often because of) our problems, Roimata can be a token to encourage us to hang on in there.
The beautiful Teardrop or Roimata shaped Paua Shell cabochons our creators place in these elegant pieces of fine New Zealand jewellery are sure to convey these emotions to anyone you may gift them to.

Christmas Gifts: ideal for the New Zealand summer!

Marlborough New Zealand Jewelry

Christmas and summer holidays this year for me will be spent relaxing in the Marlborough Sounds with family and friends. I am looking forward to spending time in this most beautiful part of the country and in my opinion the world!
I have a few special people who have offered their hospitality as well as their boat to take us all out into the water surrounding my home – and I thought that there is no better way to thank them for this hospitality that to gift them a unique and special piece of New Zealand Paua Shell Jewellery – here are a few that remind me of these beautiful surroundings.

SP2 – Dolphin Pendant – Sterling Silver

I am lucky enough to live in Waikawa Bay at the top of the South Island of New Zealand and one of the highlights of those visiting the nearby Sounds is witnessing the graceful majestic Dolphins playing in the water.
The Dolphins playful nature is a reminder that everyone needs to play sometimes just for the sheer joy of it, to take time out of our busy lives and experience life as a child does.
They are also very caring and nurturing creatures… to both their own and to humans who visit their home in the sea. Purchasing any one of our beautiful unique Dolphin jewellery for someone you hold near and dear would certainly be a gift they would treasure for a lifetime.

Fish Hook Pendant

Traditionally to our native people of New Zealand, The Maori, fish hooks were extremely important both culturally and as a method to gather food for their whanau or family. Maori Legend holds that the North Island of New Zealand was once a huge fish that was caught by the great mariner, Maui, using only a woven line and a hook made from the jawbone of his grandmother. The fish hook denotes the importance of fishing to the Maori people of New Zealand and their strong relationship to Tangaroa, the god of the sea.
Ariki New Zealand designers have created several unique and precious pieces of jewellery to honour this historical importance.

PO553/GP553 – Filigree Hook Pendant

The beautiful kowhaiwhai or scroll like patterns on this classic fish hook pendant are designed to represent the importance and significance of family, relationships and connections. The fish hook itself is believed to bring peace prosperity and good health. What better way to honour a special loved one than to wear this stunning piece of jewellery?
